Desi Babu Raj

If anything that does the best job of putting cold water on all your enthusiasm of visiting India, it is customs, immigration and the airport. Check this story. Agreed that this guy is a bonehead who traveled without proper documents for his kids, but the immigration officer’s behavior is downright pathetic. There were always so many avenues that officer could have used to get them inside the country rather than deporting them back. The worst thing is, they give arrival visa to French national and deny it to these kids. I guess it will take another generation to get rid of the slave mentality. My boss (American) always tells the story of how he got a pass to Northwest’s Airport Lounge in Delhi (even though he didn’t ask) while another desi colleague traveling with him was denied the lounge pass, even though desi guy was an Elite member of the airline. Apparently India is unique in such behavior. Other places they just screw everybody or they screw outsiders or they screw nobody. But well we are Indians; we screw ourselves and welcome outsiders.

Cricket: Sreesanth Swinging His Bat..... Dhoom Machale?!

Cricket: This is the # 10 batsman Sreesanth, of India, responding to the South African Andre Nel's comment "Man, just don't swing your bat, have a heart to hit the ball", by hitting the very next ball for the maximum six runs and by showing his "heart" in front of Nel's face..... I hope this has made my clip more clear to the non-cricketing public!
